QPILCH assisted a record number of clients in 2013-14. Over 2,600 new files were opened in the year through the Referral Service (Public Interest, QLS and BAQ services), Homeless Persons' Legal Clinic, Refugee Civil Law Clinic, Mental Health Civil Law Clinic, Self Representation Service, Administrative Law Clinic and Mental Health Law Practice. A conservative estimate of the pro bono contribution by QPILCH members in 2013-14 is $6.7M. We thank the legal practitioners who generously give of their time and skills to help those who are disadvantaged in our society. Although lawyers' pro bono efforts are not widely understood or acknowledged publicly, those who have been assisted greatly appreciate it. The QPILCH 2013-14 Annual Report was presented to the AGM on Monday 20 October 2014 and is downloadable from our homepage, www.qpilch.org.au.
