Launch of the Civil Justice Fund
Wednesday 18 March 2015 5.30pm to 7.30pm Ashurst, Level 38, 123 Eagle Street, Brisbane We will be extending invitations in the New Year to attend the launch of the Civil Justice Fund. This is a sub-fund of the Queensland Community Foundation that was established by QPILCH with funding from the Public Trustee of Queensland and Legal Aid Queensland. The funds donated to the Civil Justice Fund are managed in perpetuity and the income generated each year will be used to fulfil the objectives as follows:
- to facilitate equal access to the civil justice system to disadvantaged Queenslanders

to foster partnerships between community legal centres and the private profession

to provide funds for practical legal projects and civil casework

to help satisfy unmet legal need in Queensland

to support research to assist in developing practical legal services.
Supporters can include a bequest to the Civil Justice Fund in their Will. Once realised, their bequest will be invested and remain in perpetuity and the interest earned will be directed to the work of the Civil Justice Fund. Queensland Legal Walk
The 2015 Walk will be held on Tuesday 12 May in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Mackay, Townsville, Cairns and for the first time in beautiful Toowoomba. Please join us in Law Week when we take to the streets to celebrate and strengthen the pro bono effort in Queensland.
