University of Queensland A2J & Innovation Clinic

In the “A2J & Innovation” clinic you will investigate the opportunities and barriers that digital innovation offers for access to justice.

Through clinic we observe client appointments and court hearings and sometimes attend industry forums.  We also meet with other LawRight lawyers, pro bono law firm partners, and sometimes Court registry staff and Judges.

Students work with A2J Author software to develop an online guided interview to assist self-represented litigants.

In doing so, students gain skills in teamwork, communication, plain language writing, technology and an understanding of a particular area of law (recently, employment law around unpaid wages claims).

You should enrol in this clinic if you are interested in learning about the changing nature of the profession especially through digital disruption and what this means for people seeking access to justice.

You can read more about the clinic here.
