LegalPod is a targeted pro bono outreach legal clinic for vulnerable young people transitioning to independence from the child protection system.
How LegalPod works
LegalPod connects participating young people with their own small team (Pod) of volunteers who are able to respond to the legal needs of the young person for the duration of their transition. LegalPod arranges an initial meeting at a convenient public location and conducts a Legal Health Check with the young person to identify any legal needs. If interested in participating, the young person can continue to access ongoing pro bono assistance and advice from LegalPod for existing legal needs and new matters that come up.
LegalPod is generally available to young people in the Brisbane, Beenleigh, Ipswich and Caboolture regions aged 17 years and older who have experienced state care. To access LegalPod, please call us on (07) 3846 6317.
