Homeless Persons' Legal Clinic
HPLC staff and volunteer lawyers are offered regular continuing legal education sessions in many areas of law, including debt, fines and tenancy, and in relation to practical legal skills.
The HPLC also provides training to caseworkers in legal basics.
Mental Health Law Practice
We conduct Mental Health Caseworker Training to assist mental health caseworkers in community agencies to better identify legal issues and to develop and improve referral pathways to community legal services.
The MHLP has developed a comprehensive advocacy training program and trained over 100 advocates since we established our Tribunal Advocacy Service in 2012. We thank the University of Queensland for hosting all our training weekends.
