Supervising Lawyer - Health Advocacy Legal Clinic
Part-time 3 days/week
LawRight’s Health Advocacy Legal Clinic (HALC) is embedded in the Mater Young Adults Health Centre to respond to the legal needs of patients and support better health outcomes.
HALC delivers pro bono legal services as a multidisciplinary student clinic during semesters, through the collaboration of law, social work and medical students.
We seek an experienced lawyer to operate, supervise and develop the HALC. The role can be negotiated to within-semester time only.
All LawRight positions are dependent on government or philanthropic funding. This is a 12 month contract.
Annual salary from $80,000 pro rata, dependent on skills and experience, plus six weeks annual leave, leave loading and 9.5% superannuation. As LawRight is a Public Benevolent Institution, employees are currently entitled to salary sacrifice up to $35,000 (grossed up) of their income to personal and entertainment expenses.
