Lawyer - Mental Health Law Practice and Health Advocacy Legal Clinic
Part-time (4 days per week), 12 month contract
We seek a lawyer to provide representation and advocacy before the MHRT, deliver supervised casework, advice and support to vulnerable clients, assist in the supervision of volunteers and students, development of resources and stakeholder engagement and participate in the general activities of LawRight.
All LawRight positions are dependent on government or philanthropic funding. This is a 12 month contract.
Qualifications: One year PAE as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland; strong understanding of intersection of health and legal needs.
Annual salary range from $69,502.00 pro rata depending on experience plus 9.5% superannuation, leave loading and six weeks annual leave pro rata.
As LawRight is Public Benevolent Institution, employees are entitled to generous salary packaging arrangements. The Federal Government currently allows PBI employees to salary sacrifice up to $35,000 (grossed up) of their income to personal and entertainment expenses.
