The LawRight Commercial Law Clinic is a small business legal advice clinic, delivered in partnership with Bond University.

Free legal advice is available to:

  • members of the public thinking about starting a small business*
  • small business* owners
  • registered not-for-profit (NFP) organisations

*A ‘small business’ is any business with fewer than 20 employees (or fewer than 100 employees in the case of manufacturers).

The LawRight Commercial Law Clinic provides basic advice, to people who would struggle to afford legal advice, about the following legal issues:

  • intellectual property, e.g. trademarks and copyright
  • consumer protection and competition regulation
  • disputes, contracts, franchising, leasing, debt recovery and licensing
  • business structures

Please note: The LawRight Commercial Law Clinic does not have the capacity to formally represent clients in legal disputes. We also do not provide on any complex legal issues or areas such as employment law, tax, insolvency or insurance.
